Master in Physical Geography with specialization in Quaternary Geology and Climate Change at the Faculty of Earth Sciences of the University of Utrecht, in 2010, with the dissertation Holocene Evolution of the IJsseldelta. Internship in the institute TNO-Deltares (the Netherlands), Morphology and Sedimentology Department, from 18/05/2009 to 18/12/2009, with the research project focusing on the Eemian stage deposits of the near-costal area of the Netherlands between Kampen and Steenwijk. In 2006 graduated in Geography with specialization in Environmental Studies, by the University of Coimbra.
Since March of 2011 he is a research fellow for the Project FMI 5000 - Environmental Changes: Fluvio-marine interactions over the last 5000yrs(PTDC/CTE-GIX/104035/2008).
Research fellow of the Portuguese Foundation for Science and Technology (ref. SFRH/BD/80905/2011) since April 2012 at the Institute of Geography and Spatial Planning of the University of Lisbon (IGOT-UL), with the research focusing in the reconstruction of the Portuguese coastline evolution over the last 1000 years.
